Communication Subsystem : AYESAŞ's complete Line-of-Sight Tropospheric Scatter and Microwave Communication Systems establishes a voice/data communication link between radar sites and operation centers. Mobile Air Defence C3 System Elements
The C3 System is designed to monitor and control the data provided by the Radar Systems, and to exchange data in NATO Link-1, Link-11, SAM/SHORAD Data Links formats for the selected tracks as well the voice and teletype (including Link-14) communications with the units integrated to the TMRC. Extensive air/ground communications capability includes HF, VHF, and UHF radios with Have Quick II and direction finders. A secure microwave subsystem is provided for radar and radio remoting. The secure microwave subsystem is capable of voice and data connection to national telephone and telegraph services. Voice and data and cryptographic equipment, facsimile, and teletype equipment are also part of the system. Each of the Air Defense Console areas is equipped with a Communications Panel for radio, land-line, telephone, and intercom voice communications. The modern, distributed, digital, Automatic Communications Switch System provided supports intercom, interphone, and telephone services, with continuous voice recording and automatic backup capabilities.
The system provides interfaces for multiple radar input of both analog and digital plot data, including Identification Friend or Foe (IFF). The user-friendly displays provide a complete implementation of all air defense functions including a comprehensive weapons allocation (SAM and Interceptor) capability and an automatic intercept control (guidance) capability. Manual and automatic identification is provided by IFF System, ID areas, and flight plan correlation.
