JSF – Missile Remote Interface Unit

AYESAS has been working together with GE of USA (ex Smiths Aerospace) for the joint design, development, testing and manufacturing of the chassis and some of the cards pf the Missile Remote Interface Unit (MRIU) since 2004. Missile Remote Interface Unit (MRIU) is an integral part of the JSF Stores and Weapon Management System that adapts missile unique interfaces to a standard 1760 interface. Because of the MRIU’s location (inside the weapon bay and/or on the wings), the MRIU is being designed to operate in the severe thermal, vibration, and acoustic environments.

AYESAS has already supplied 12 units to GE, all of which were qualified by GE and shipped to Lockheed Martin. Two of the units are currently installed and flying in the F-35 prototypes.

The production phase planned to take place between 2009-2026, and AYESAS is the sole source for her work-share.
