After the Turkish Mobile Radar Complexes (TMRC) project, the Turkish Mobile Radar Complexes Additional Capability Acquisition project is one of the best examples of how we have developed into a sustainable company that is constantly improving by applying its existing capabilities to new projects and acquiring new capabilities.
Thanks to the RADNET project, implemented by the Defense Industry Agency to meet the requirements of the Turkish Air Force, TMRC has been enabled to monitor and control radar assets in different regions within wide area network simultaneously and in different ways from the command and control centers. The project made a significant contribution to the survivability of the air defense elements of the Turkish Air Force.
The Radar Message Conversion Computer (RMCC), Radar Network Management Computer (RNMC) and Remote Sensor Control System (RSCS) units have been developed as part of the RADNET project. RMCC runs on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) PC hardware. With the help of this system, which is located on the radar heads, various radar messages are converted into the SSM format (Super Set Message) and forwarded from the RNMC to the command and control centers via the TAFICS infrastructure. Radar control messages sent by the command and control centers via RSCS are transmitted to the radar via RMCC. RMCCs also perform the message conversion between the SSM format and the AWCIES / ASTERIX message set. In this way, it has become possible to integrate the AWCIES / ASTERIX output radars, which are expected to be widely used in NATO, directly into the national RADNET and the NATO ACCS (Air Command and Control System).
