Our capabilities and rich ecosystem, especially in the fields of project management and systems engineering, pave the way for us to take on new tasks in the development of original systems that have not previously developed in Turkey before. The national scanning system (MILTAR) is one of the latest examples of this. To ensure an effective customs control service and combat smuggling, vehicles and containers must be checked non-destructively. In this way, it will be possible to prevent illicit trafficking and detect in advance elements that could jeopardize the security of the country. The MILTAR system is being developed for this purpose as a semi-stationary X-ray scanning system for vehicles and containers. We are participating as the main contractor in the project, which is being carried out by the Defense Industry Agency to meet the needs of the General Directorate of Customs Enforcement of the Ministry of Trade. The project, which started in February 2020, includes the development and production of the MILTAR system. The critical design phase of the project is ongoing. With this project, Turkey will be one of the 7 countries in the world that can develop and produce these systems.
